1959 Berkhampstead Manager Mr H.J.W. Pink, Yardman Mr Ron Miller and Shop Manageress Mrs Audrey Thomson are winners in the NDBI competition. Chris Austen comments "In the mid-1960s, as a young Area Manager, my office was at Walter's Yard Bromley; Jack Pink was Depot Sales Manager and he was such a delightful man!" (Express News October)
Express Journey (Book) 1964 - Appointed chairman of the Express Dairy Company in 1937 and President in 1960, Walter Nell is a past chairman of the Central Milk Distributive Committee and a former President of the National Dairymen's Benevolent Institution.
1965 Denis Bell, Northern Region Chairman, also elected President of the NDBI. Brian Wastell comments "I used to play with his twin boys when I was about 5 years at Highwood Park, when my Dad worked for Mr Nell". 1976 John Travers Clarke announces personnel changes-Tony Gardiner resigned to join Associated Dairies, to be temporarily replaced by Jim Hodges until Andrew Paterson returns from the USA. Bill Grisenthwaite is appointed Milk Resources Director, while Paul Pegden Smith becomes Commercial Director. David Good moves to GrandMet, Finance Director John Redman and Technical Director Tom Ashton retire. Fred Battle (EVM) joins the NDBI. (Express News Summer)
