1958 Mr A. Fox obtained a distinction in studying dairying at the Cheshire College of Agriculture. Keith Goodby comments "Arthur Fox was the site director at Daisy Dairy when I joined United Cooperative Dairies in 1985. He retired very shortly after as Ken Hunt (ex-Express Exeter and Express Northern) took overall charge of UCD. Brian Stephenson, who was also ex-Express Broadfield Road, was responsible for production at all of the UCD sites and my boss-real gent. I think it proves how strong Express were in bringing talented people through the organisation." (Express News December)

1961 Cigarette Case presented to R.T. Jones, Minsterley after 26 years service. Mike Challinor comments "I worked with Tom in the fitter’s shop for the 7 years I was there-a great chap who I had a lot of respect for. I vividly remember the day I got the phone call in the Canning Line office asking if I still wanted to join Shropshire Fire Brigade. I had a few reservations but sat down with Tom in the workshop and talked it through. I took his advice and handed in my notice that afternoon.
