Hilary Mccluskey comments "My goodness, there’s a blast from the past! Mrs Cook was the lovely Chief Clerk at Kenley Depot. One of her clerks had hearing problems, and Mrs Cook was extremely patient and always made her part of the office team. Miss Lindford was the Area Supervisor when we sold our business (Bowyers Dairy) to Express. She arrived on Day one of the takeover and her main concern was to get our Office Staff to wear Express Dairy overalls! I can confirm that that I NEVER did! Miss Purkiss succeeded Miss Lindford as Area Supervisor and was a breath of fresh air. I am certain that we were not easy to deal with having come from a Family Business. Chris Austen adds "You will also remember that Miss Purkiss was my Area Clerical Supervisor!" (Express News Summer)
