1950's South Morden. Chris Jelly write "My dear Dad, Sam Jelly, working at South Morden bottling plant as a driver. When he started at Morden he knocked two years off his age - turned up for work, called in the office and was informed 'You're 67 - he was sent home. I was there that day; he was so upset. I went for interview in 1962 as a driver, only ever driven an old Ford Anglia. 'Jump in' said the transport manager, to a thirty-foot artic - I drove around Morden and back, parked onto the loading bay. 'When can you start?'. Monday, I said-those were the days..."
