Charlie Kennedy comments in January 2024 "Sadly Helen is no longer with us, she was quite a character. Stuart Cairnie, son of George (Dode), still works at Priestdykes as a cheesemaker. Jim Bell did much to build Lockerbie into the powerhouse dairy it now is." (January Express News)

Three of them worked for me in the labs and actually went on to work in the care sector. Sadly Helen second from the right passed away about a year ago in a care home where she was a resident. Coincidentally my daughter was one of her carers. Brenda second from the left works alongside my daughter in that same care home. Margo first on the left was lab supervisor for me and now has a mobile dog grooming business."
