2018 application with the council to launch a new microbrewery in Sheffield. The Old Dairy site on Broadfield Road is in the process of being renovated and could become home to Sheffield's newest brewery. The microbrewery will be housed on the bottom floor of the building and produce craft beer in bottles and kegs for sale to wholesale customers. The Old Dairy was built in the 1920s for use as a milk and cheese processing plant until it was discontinued. As part of the proposal, a statement read: "The proposal to renovate and refurbish Unit 8 of The Old Dairy complex for use as a microbrewery is a sustainable use, which will provide jobs and ongoing increased business to the local neighbourhood and beyond. The site has a history of food processing and manufacture, which is in keeping with this new proposal." (Courtesy Insidermedia.com)
