Horses on display at Carshalton Depot. Lee Durham comments "Second from the left I’m pretty sure that is my uncle Vic Chapman. He loved horses and taught me to ride to a high standard. Rumour has it he took the job so he could work with horses." Dennis Cook adds "I`m sure the man on the left was the person who looked after the horses. He walked with a permanent limp because he had been kicked by one of them. We used to go and see the horses most days as I lived in Alma Rd; probably around 1948". (Courtesy Richard Gaylard)

Eamonn Fay comments "Over 200 years (John Carey says 254 years if you include him too!) of being on the milk - Michael Hutchinson, Bobby Boothman, Morris (Mo) Oneil and Eric - most were at Express depots in London.". Mo Oneill adds "I worked at Chelsea, Southwark, Bloomsbury, Putney and finally Richmond. Sadly everywhere I went they closed... well Richmond closed after I left to be a black cab driver."
